Should not read biblical quotes, I am suddenly overcome with the feeling of death and questioning about life. This is not good.

Now I'm scared. Not about death really, but what happens after. And the thought of being nothing more but a decomposing corpse after, never having any thoughts or anything ever again. This is probably why I'm not an atheist, the thought of having no afterlife is very scary! Although...I don't know if I'm good enough to go to heaven @_@! I would imagine hell is worse than nothing.

Couldn't think of anything witty...sorry~ Ever since my love affair with Pushing Daisies and therefore all things pie I have been trying to find a Toronto version of "The Pie Hole" nice, warm, homey atmosphere with to-die-for pies. A lot of people have been recommending Wanda's Pie in the Sky. So me and Hailen (and three other people but anyways) went there. We had a Swiss Apple Pie and I ordered an additional croissant. The croissant was good but the pie is like terrible! A nice apple pie is supposed to be warm, like your home but that apple pie was coooooooold and the apples tasted weird. Also the crust was NOT flaky nor buttery!

But anyways, Kensington Market was nice, there were a lot fruit and vegetable stands, spice houses, butchers, fish stores, and cheese stores. Also...a lot of dogs...if you like dogs...

Oh! And met Hailen's bf for real for real this time! We went to IKEA (you know...where EVERYONE hangs out) to pick out furniture for his place (despite me not knowing what his place LOOKS LIKE!). Then we went to a Korean restaurant to eat. They were soooooooo thrifty...they had like ten items total and most of them were like soup. I had a dumpling and beef things and it was literally like one dumpling. Then I noticed that all the items on the menu were in singular, I thought they just didn't know grammar, but in reality, they were just honest. And they did not have the usual side dishes that I like, like those clear noodles and those potatoes!

All in all, Hailen's bf is really nice and funny. And he paid for my dinner as well so this might be a biased opinion.

I know every one feels like that but no seriously! It started like two days ago and on Thursday I was in SOOOOOOOOO much pain that I almost felt like fainting! And then from then on to yesterday I couldn't stop eating! And today I could not eat anything =.=. I ate one meal and I'm still full D=! This is very irregular...=.=.

But most importantly, my cake is ruined! The springform pan leaks, and unfortunately cake batter is quite liquidous. So I covered it with some wax paper. BUT THEN! The new pan is bigger so my calculations were totally skewered because what I thought were enough and now the cake won't be as big and it won't have a lot of layers like I wanted and ept ojglijut p mtbemteapto aot4iejlmg sj iejtelsk /!!!!

Yesterday I made chicken congee because I had been craving them for sooooooo long and the ones here sucks =.=! I really like this one at a dim sum restaurant in HK...although it was littered LITTERED with MSG. So I made my own, where it's LITTERED! with chicken fat!

I also made scallops a while back! A simple pan frying them in clarified butter~

But enough about her, oh my god, just talked to Hailen, her boyfriend bought her a phone with a contract and everything just for their TWO MONTH ANNIVERSARY!!! Damn!

So insomnia's a TOTAL bitch! But anyways, I spent EIGHTY dollars yesterday. Though in my defense, fifty of that is for kitchen supplies which lasts very long and is neccessary...except for those eight cake circles, they will last for eight times only... They're like literally ten inch circle card boards! For TWELVE dollars! I also bought piping bags with like ten piping tips and that spring-form pan I always wanted!

Anyways, with the right hardware and software I could finally try out this dessert I wanted to make. It's in the experimental stage so no detailed pictures or anything, just shots of the final product~ And by experimenting I mean...there was no recipe, I made it up...and it needs tweaking...>.>



( What also needs tweaking are my decorating skills o.o )

HOW DID I NOT KNOW OF THIS SOONER?!?! Alton Brown was on an episode of Spongebob Squarepants! I know...bit ~random~ but he just got even cooler! Even though I don't really like Spongebob anymore...

And lucky that I just watched it last night too because it's been taken by viacom now...o.O quick...

Anyways, it's the one where Squidward watches this show called House Fancy and Alton Brown is a host called Nicholas Whiters or something like that. And Squilliam, Squidward's enemy is on it and Squidward got jealous so he yelled at the Alton and said his house is MUCH fancier (it's not) and Spongebob tries to help but ends up destroying the house. Luckily, Alton likes PoMo and thought it was very fancy~
